2 Meters FM – Use CTCSS tone of 94/8 Hz

Since at least the early 1980’s, the Treaty City Amateur Radio Association (W8UMD) has sponsored a 2m repeater in Greenville, Ohio. Adam, W8FLH is the current trustee.
Our current repeater consists of a Motorola MTR3000 repeater that’s programmed for wideband (25 kHz) FM. Rather than use the onboard control, we use a CAT-1000 repeater controller. This offers more options for various types of repeater identification, and announcements. The system also uses a Telewave TPRD-1554 duplexer.
More recently, we’ve been experimenting with remote access to the repeater. Initially we looked at Echolink, and it seemed a nicer way to provide this connection is via an Allstar node. As things have been further explored, software called DVswitch has been added to the Allstar mix, and this bridges us to a DMR radio connection. Now, there are several ways to access the repeater anywhere in the world.
It can be access via:
Echolink : W8FLH-R
Allstar: 483560
DMR: Brandmeister Talkgroup 310746
Be sure to join us each Monday evening at 7:00 PM ET for our Darke County ARES Net on the 146.790 repeater!
